- PREMIUM dry red wine with protected designation of origin – PDO Villány,
- made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes.
- Total number of bottles: 1 860
- Date of harvest: 14 October, 2016
Organic, chemical-free grape growing, very high crop control (45 cwt/ha), manual harvesting in phenolic ripeness and manual grape sorting were instrumental in the successful production of this wine. In the whole course of winemaking only natural and vegan additives were used. Controlled fermentation and an 8-day circular racking was followed by direct pressing.
The wine was aged in 225 litre first fill Bordeaux type Hungarian, French and American oak barrels on fine lees (sur lie), stirred on a regular basis (battonage) over a period of 24 months.
Thanks to the wonderful red berries, this wine has a deep velvety ruby red color with some purplish touch and it breathes forth the typical aromas of Bordeaux, oozing tremendous power.
In addition to ripe fruitiness, pleasantly astringent aromas of blackberry, blueberry, plum jelly and wild strawberry are blended with spicy aromas such as vanilla, blackthorn, chocolate and coffee that were brewed in the cask.
The wine is featuring a typical grape variety, rich extract content, tight structure, nice barrel, well integrated acidic content, wonderful texture, intensive aroma and subtle tannin structure.
This is a young and fiery but full-bodied superb, elegant and balanced wine with long aftertaste and some “new world” touch.
This wonderful wine has a potential of multi-annual ageing and it is a royal representative of the reputed Villány Wine Region.
